Refund and Cancellation Policy
1. Scope and Definitions: YourLawyer (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides legal consultation and documentation services through our website. This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all users (“you,” “your,” or “Client”) who engage with our services via YourLawyer.co.in.
Services: Legal consultations, documentation preparation, review, and representation modules purchased on our website.
Consultation Fees: Fees for scheduled time with an attorney, including initial and follow-ups.
Document Fees: Fees related to drafting, reviewing, or filing legal documents.
2. Cancellation Policy:
2.1 Consultation Sessions
Before Confirmation: You may cancel a scheduled consultation at any time before confirmation with your lawyer through our platform without incurring charges.
Post-Confirmation (but over 24 hours before the meeting): You may cancel without penalty. A full refund of the consultation fee will be issued within 7 business days.
Within 24 Hours of Scheduled Time: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session will incur a 50% cancellation fee. The remainder will be refunded within 7 business days.
No-Show / Late Arrival: If you fail to attend or arrive more than 10 minutes late without notifying us at least 2 hours prior, the full consultation fee becomes non-refundable.
2.2 Document Services
Pre-Commencement: Full refund allowed if you cancel before we begin document drafting or review.
Post-Commencement (Not Completed): If the lawyer starts drafting or review but does not finalize, a partial refund will be issued proportionate to the work completed.
Upon Delivery/Submission: Once documents are delivered or filed, no refund is available.
3. Refund Process:
Request Submission: Email refund requests to support@yourlawyer.co.in with your name, service booking ID, reason for cancellation/refund, and supporting details.
Review Period: We’ll review your request within 3–5 business days and notify you of approval or denial with the rationale.
Processing Refunds: Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days via the original payment method. If the transaction cannot be reversed, we may issue store credit towards future services.
Partial Refunds: Approved partial refunds will be calculated accurately and processed within 7 business days. The balance remains on your account or will be credited back.
4. Exceptions & Additional Terms:
Promotional Services: Services booked using promotional codes, discounts, or special offers may have different refund conditions, explicitly stated at the time of purchase.
Third-Party Disbursements: Fees for court filings, courier services, or external service providers are non-refundable once spent.
Dispute Resolution:
If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your case, you may escalate it by emailing support@yourlawyer.co.in.
We encourage mediation to amicably resolve disagreements.
Both parties agree that no legal action, except for arbitration or small claims court, will be taken without first attempting mediation.
5. Policy Modifications: YourLawyer reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. All updates will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after such updates constitute acceptance of the revised policy. We will notify you of significant changes via email.
